Arezzo, 10 July 2025 – The 1st "Riccardo Rossi Ferrini" journalism prize will be awarded this evening, Thursday 10 July at 9 pm, in the evocative setting offered by Poppi Castle , the location.

Scuderia Etruria SCRL, organizer of the 45th Casentino International Rally, has established the first "Riccardo Rossi Ferrini" journalism award, honoring the career of the journalist who passed away in March. The award will be presented on Thursday, July 10th, at 9:00 PM, in the evocative setting of Poppi Castle. The award will be presented by Riccardo Rossi Ferrini's wife, Gabriela, and Guido Rancati, a journalist and writer whose name is closely linked to international motorsports.

Riccardo Rossi Ferrini was one of the most respected motorsport journalists, honing his expertise in fields such as rallying and Formula 1. On May 1, 1994, he was entrusted with covering one of the saddest moments of his career: the death of Ayrton Senna, which he experienced as a reporter present at the event. As a prestigious journalist for the daily newspaper La Nazione, he was appointed editor of the Empoli bureau, and his career subsequently took him to the sports bureau in Florence.
